Travel is one of the things that makes life more enjoyable, but like all things, there are things you need to plan to make it easier and more fun. Though the best things happen when unplanned, there are thing that you need to plan to make it worthwhile. Here are five must-have for every travel that you should know today!

Travel Tips:  Having a rough draft itinerary is important, especially with transportations and places you want to see. Having an outline of where you want to be and what are the things you want to do will help you achieve your goals and be organized. Prepare to have changes or unplanned trips along the way! Be sure to enjoy your trip wherever you go, that’s the main purpose!

Travel Tips:  Bringing the right luggage or bag is anothing thing you should consider planning ahead. If you know you’ll be in an adventure with lots of walks and travelling, a sturdy backpack would be enough but if you’ll be in the city and more shopping days, a large suitcase would suffice. Pack the things you really need and don’t bring things that you know you will just buy in your destination. Also make room for more stuffs while travelling, it’s hard to leave a pair of heels behind when you don’t have enough space in your luggage!

Travel Tips: If the travelling time is more than 5 hours or overnight night trips, it’s important that you are comfortable in the flight or even in a train or bus. Bring a neck pillow or a blanket for a better sleep or choose a thick sweater than can double as a neck support and keep you stay warm when it gets too cold.

Travel Tips: Entertain yourself while on-the-go so bring an e-reader, tablet with movies or even a good ol’ book! Bring pocket guidebooks and maps of your destination and you can study it while you’re travelling! It’s great to know even a little about your destination, and some phrases too!

5. One of the best ways to document your travel and ofcourse, aside from the pictures you post in Instagram, is to capture each moment in quality pictures. There are nice digital cameras available in the market today that can even be an underwater camera which is perfect for summer travels! The best thing about photographs is it’s a great reminder of a wonderful experience you’ve had and will surely put a smile in your heart!

Something we’re rolling out for 2014: What the Fox Up With My Hair, Lorean!

Fox and Jane creative director Lorean Cairns has years of experience beautifying men’s and women’s hair, and can answer any of your hair care questions. Like this one sent in from a fan:

“Hi Lorean! I’ve never had dandruff before, but I suddenly started getting huge, gross flakes in my hair. Is there a cause you might be able to pinpoint? What can I do to make it go away? Thanks, Alicia”

Lorean says:

Oh, I know how frustrating this can be. I hate to always go back to products, but I must admit, when used correctly they can save us from so much frustration. Your scalp is struggling with oil and dryness so it needs to be soothed. Try AG’s Therapy Shampoo for Dandruff. It is very cost effective and my clients rave about the results. Another great trick is to use a dab of tea tree oil in your sulfate-free shampoo. I would only do this about 1 time per week and continue depending on results.

If you have hair care questions you’d like Lorean to answer, message us on Facebook and we’ll post the answer on our page! You can also direct message us on Twitter!

Its not easy to get the right kind of foundation since people have different shades of skin. So how do you pick a foundation with the perfect shade for you? Here are the makeup tips on how to find the perfect foundation shade for your skin tone:

When you go makeup shopping, head on to stores with a clean face, absolutely no make up to make sure that you can tell what the shade of your skin is. Then identify what are the undertones of your skin, usually it would be the shades of pink or yellow. Once you have chosen a foundation, test it by applying a little on your chest if they are the same, you’ve got the right shade.

Remember also to apply them using the natural sunlight to get a clearer view instead of using artificial light which might change the true color of your skin. Makeup stands and stores have really good lighting that makes your skin look flawless so looking at a different angle and lighting will ensure you’ve got the best foundation!

Finally wait a while for the foundation to settle, usually they make an after effect once it comes in contact with air. The first applications can fool you, especially those that controls oil and shine. You can go buy the smallest tube or ask for a sample so you can finish the product easily if you don’t like it and you can buy the bigger one if you do!

As promised, here’s another bow nail art! I’ve mentioned in my first bow nail art of the day that we’ll be making another post and here it is! These bow nail designs are a mix of colors and sophistication. I really love the glitter french tip with a touch of bow, very simple but elegant.

Have you tried the bow nail art? I you haven’t, then go for it this week!
