Cate has been in the industry for 6 years; she owned a studio in Gilbert, Arizona for three of those years. She has taken cut and color classes from Goldwell, Wella in addition to many other lines. She has proudly done hair and make-up for high profile parades and conventions, as well as for celebrities such as Miss America winners Jennifer Berry (2006) and Lauren Nelson (2007), Hall of Fame baseball player Johnny Bench and country superstar Garth Brooks.
While Cate devotes her time to specializing in extensions, cuts short to long and giving the natural look, in her spare time she loves practicing with aerial silks, hula hoops, doing yoga, painting, and playing with her dog. She enjoys anything active and outside, and also enjoys jammin’ to good music with good friends!
Although she started in northern CA, her career took off shortly after moving to SD. She found a home at an Aveda lifestyle salon in La Jolla, where she not only grew to be the dynamic stylist she is today, but also found a love for charity work. It was here that she became deeply passionate about planning fundraisers, and was sent on behalf of Aveda to attend The 11th Hour movie premiere in Hollywood for raising the most money in southern California.
