As vibrant as his native San Diego sun, Keiffer shines on the Upper West Side and brings life to curls and color! He has a penchant and expertise for vivid pastel hues and bright California blondes, and never met a color he couldn’t correct. He has a passion for helping his clients achieve their desired style, whether it’s natural and effortless or extreme and daring. Keiffer’s inventive work has been featured in industry editorials appearing in Modern Salon and Being the Chair. He is constantly inspired by other cultures and loves to travel the world. These influences intermingle with his training from DevaCurl and Vidal Sassoon to create his set of unique skills. Call on Keiffer if you seek a sassy and meticulous “mane man.” Outside the salon, he can be found jaunting with his puppy and whipping up some delicious delicacies at home in Brooklyn.
Born and raised in faraway Ukraine, Iryna has been living in New York City for over 14 years. Trained by Curlisto professionals at Christo Fifth Avenue, she specializes in working with curly hair and finds pride in helping countless women transform their curly, difficult-to-work-with hair from dull and drab to absolutely fabulous. Working with clients like Jessica Pimental, she’s channeled her passion into gorgeous hairstyles that turn heads and get noticed. This year, Ira achieved one of her lifetime dreams by participating in New York Fashion Week 2016. With coverage in the Tijanastyle blog, the world is taking notice of Ira’s world-class skills as a stylist.
María Cristina Alvarez brings her own flair and creativity to each service. She has spent much of the last decade combining her two great loves, art and hair- which is evident in her individualized and customized service. Her immense talent as an artist shines through with her love for hand painted color such as Balayage, whether it’s creating a natural blended highlight or bright, bold color. As a DevaCurl certified ‘curly hair’ expert she enjoys working with all hair textures, especially curly and wavy hair. Maria understands how crucial hair is to your sense of self, thus one of Maria’s passions is getting to know her clients. This way Maria can listen, consult, and help design a personalized style that her clients will love, time and time again.
A native New Yorker, Michelle prides herself on helping her clients to find their own stand- out style in a city with millions of faces. With a steadfast interest in always being at the top of her game she puts a heavy focus on her personal education and perfection of her craft. Having taken classes with the likes of John Simpson and working backstage at NYFW you can rest assured that whether you’re a little Rock and Roll or a Wall Street exec Michelle will help you to find the color, cut, and style that not only fits you, but also your busy life.
Mary hails from the windy city of Chicago where she was inspired to do hair from her childhood. Her expertise has grown tremendously as she truly was born with a passion for beauty. With hair styling as well as makeup that has been featured on Emmy award winning NBC shows, Mary has a keen eye for design and personal branding alike. When she isn’t working on the set or in the salon, you can find her doing activities with S.G.I; a Buddhist world peace organization. Mary truly loves doing hair and feels that helping people feel better about themselves is her calling.
Stacey, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology spent many years in the art industry. A special interest in photography kept her busy before finding her favorite artistic medium, hair. Stacy’s love of art comes into her service everyday. A master of hand painting, fun playful colors, and cool, sculpted and often edgy cuts. Stacy was born and raised in New York and continually finds new inspiration in travel. She trained as a Stylist with industry leaders such as Wella and Sebastion. Stacey is a firecracker with a sharp wit and will make you feel like a work of art when she has finished.
Nick has spent 15 years behind the chair and 10 years as an educator for Framesi but that doesn’t stop him from staying on top of what’s next and what’s now. He consistently attends cutting edge industry events such as NYC Fashion week and is trained in the Italian style method of cut and color. In addition, he is also a master colorist certified in Great Lengths extensions and Keratin Complex. Despite all this, you may marvel at his down to earth personality and laid back attitude but Nick’s mantra is to “Be bold, be beautiful and have fun!” So the next time you visit Fox and Jane let Nick bring out the bella in you.
Lataye (moving to Lower East Side, March 1st)
Lataye, a New York City native, has always aspired to work in the world of hair and fashion. Her style is fun, fresh, and hip, which makes her thrive at our Upper West Side salon. Lataye often does freelance work after a long day at the salon – she considers styling not only to be a job, but something that she loves to get up every day to do. She considers herself to be “a true New Yorker with a ‘sweet’ twist.”Lataye loves seeing her clients smile during and after their time spent in her chair – she goes above and beyond to make every patron look becoming while simultaneously lifting his or her spirits. Her stunning work speaks for itself, and it is certainly her best advertisement.
Cooper hails from New Orleans and has been making his mark in New York for over a decade. He has worked in television for the Bravo network and has also loaned his expertise to editorial spreads. Despite his ability to deliver high fashion, modern hair this Aveda trained stylist loves creating looks for his clients that are easy to maintain. He has a deep passion for color and and is well versed in the latest Balayage and foil techniques. When he is not making you beautiful his downtime consists of being a pet lover, obsessed with Game of Thrones and heading out to the beach whenever he can.
For Lauren, being a stylist is about so much more than creating gorgeous hair. She believes in the transformative power of the right cut and a flattering color making sure that everyone leaves her chair feeling empowered and ready to kick ass. In addition to effortlessly glam hairstyles, her clients receive everything they need to know to maintain that fresh salon feel in between appointments and achieve beautiful hair daily. With over a decade in the industry under her belt, our fun and outgoing East Coast native has worked side by side with industry icons, styling and participated in NYFW, Bridal Fashion Week, and editorial/bridal photo shoots.
Although raised in Connecticut, Ania has spent time in both London and Italy before joining the Fox & Jane family. In Ania’s first year in New York, she was invited to do NYFW Peter Sum Spring 2013, and just last year she cut and styled Antonio Banderas hair for a Hermes ad! But all of that aside, Ania considers every hair job notable and incredibly satisfying. Her biggest passion is personality/face analyzing and color placement. As an artistic visionary, Ania also loves to work with troubled hair. On her off time you can catch Ania concocting teas, painting, or having a good read.
Ali is a native of New York and with over 20 years under her belt, there is no shock that she is a miracle worker behind the chair! This overachieving stylist is your go-to for anything highlights and cutting related. Ali also promises to bring her passion to each and every session. When she isn’t doing big things in the salon, Ali can be caught watching a flick or reading a good book.
Kat hails from the Transylvania Valley in Romania. She has worked at Angus Mitchell Salon and Aveda Salon in LA. Kat loves to help find cut or styles that are suited the best for the client’s face shape, hair texture, complexion and lifestyle. In addition to being creative with hair, other endeavors she enjoys are interior decorating, holiday decorating, raw food catering and ballroom and blues fusion dancing. “Having just moved to New York, I’m loving exploring this amazing city, Central Park, all the art and fashion here, the amazing food that I discover just walking around the next corner and of course, finding the perfect dance venue.”
